Our journey

1. The beginning

   A simple idea

   Aspen & Tallow began with my daughter. 

   She struggled with eczema that just wouldn't seem to clear, and as her mom, I wanted to find something gentle, simple, and nourishing that I could feel good about putting on her skin. 

   The search led me back to simpler ingredients, and eventually, to tallow. 

   What started as a mom trying to help her little girl became something I never expected: a genuine love for creating intentional, uncomplicated skincare for my own family. And eventually, a little business built from that same love and care.

   Aspen & Tallow exists because of her. What began in our home, for my child, is now something I'm incredibly grateful to share with yours.

2. Why our ingredients?

   We believe skincare doesn't need to be complicated

   Every ingredient we choose has a purpose. We focus on simple, thoughtfully selected ingredients that nourish, moisturize, and support the skin without filling our formulas with things that don't need to be there.

3. Every ingredient has a purpose

   When it comes to the products we use, we believe simple is a beautiful place to start

   Our grass-fed beef tallow creates a rich, deeply moisturizing base. Shea butter helps soften and condition the skin, while cold-pressed extra virgin olive oil adds lightweight nourishment and helps leave the skin feeling smooth and comfortable. 

   No mile long ingredient lists. No unnecessary extras. Just intentionally chosen ingredients brought together in small batches with care.

4. A new chapter

   Making a difference

   What started as a way to care for my daughter's skin has grown into something so much bigger than I ever imagined. 

   Today I am working toward building Aspen & Tallow into a brand families can feel good about bringing into their homes. Rooted in simplicity, thoughtful ingredients, and products made with genuine care.

   I want to continue learning, creating, and growing while never losing sight of why I started in the first place. This business was built around caring for someone I love, and I hope that same intention can be felt in every jar that leaves my hands.

   This next chapter isn't about becoming the biggest. It's about continuing to create something meaningful, one small batch and one family at a time.

5. Looking ahead

   Aspen & Tallow is still growing, and so am I.

   I hope to continue creating simple, intentional products, exploring new ways to care for the skin, and building a brand that stays true to the values it was founded on. Family, simplicity, and thoughtful ingredients. 

   There is so much I still dream of creating, but no matter where this journey leads, I never want to lose the heart behind it.

   From one little girl who inspired the very first jar to every family who has welcomed Aspen & Tallow into their home. This is only the beginning. 

   And I am so grateful you're here for what comes next.
